Syllabus

Grading:  A small portion of your grade will come from participation, however, the majority of points you will be able to earn will come from homework, short quizzes and tests.  Grades will not be weighted based on what kind of assignment they’re from.

Homework:  Because it is very important that students are constantly practicing their math skills, this will be a homework intensive class.  However, to help students keep up with the workload, they will be given two class days for every homework assignment, for example, an assignment given on Monday will be due at the start of class on Wednesday.

Late Work:  One point will be subtracted from an assignment for every day that it is late.  Because students have two days for every assignment, I will have little sympathy for late work.

Supplies:  Students should have the following supplies to be ready for class:

• Binder
• Notebook
• Extra paper
• Pencil and eraser
• Red Pen
