Welcome,

     Teaching is one of my greatest joys.  I truly love every single one of my students for the unique blessings that they are.  They all come to me at different levels of capabilities and with different learning styles.  It is my job to meet them where they are and to raise them up to their highest potential during this Kindergarten year.  My goal is to challenge everyone while still making learning fun and exciting.  

     In kindergarten we stress the learning process.  I want every child to not be afraid to attempt new things so they will learn from their mistakes as well as their successes.  We stress the belief of I CAN.  We even have an eye can!!  The children are still learning and for this reason I will never criticize their mistakes.  Children need to be believers in their work and it is our job to facilitate this confidence.  To me, a scribble narrating a text is just as beautiful as correct book spelling as long as the child has tried his/her best.  We look for every reason to celebrate successes with fireworks and kisses to the brain!!! 

     I can guarantee that every child will learn many new things this year socially, spiritually and academically.  What they learn at school will not always come home to you on paper.  Everyday we count, spell new words, and work in our journals or tell time.  Of course, we will read new things every day.  We do not do a worksheet for all of these activities.
