Katarina Kussow Named Head Girls Soccer Coach

Regis High School has named Katarina Kussow as the next Head Regis/McDonell Saints Girls Soccer Coach.

Kussow graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2023 and played on the university’s soccer team. She was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, 2021, and 2022. She also earned WIAC All-Conference honors during those same years.

Kussow has served as the Saints’ assistant coach for two seasons under Head Coach Scott Hoffmann. She says she is excited to lead the team following Hoffmann’s retirement after 17 years of coaching.

“As a head coach, my ultimate goal is to create a positive and supportive team culture that fosters growth, development, and success on and off the field,” Kussow said. “I believe that every player has the ability to improve and reach their full potential with the right guidance, support, and encouragement.”

Kussow says she hopes to help the team build on the success of this past season as it moves forward into the future.

“Our trip to the state tournament has helped to build excitement around our program,” she said. “With this, I hope to build up the program through fundraising and playing teams with higher levels of competition.”

Regis Catholic Schools would like to thank Coach Scott Hoffmann for his time and dedication to the program.
